The PluginPartner GuestToCustomer module enhances your Magento 2 store by automatically converting guest orders into registered customer accounts. This allows store owners to build a customer database, improve customer retention, and provide a seamless experience — without requiring manual intervention.

The module also includes powerful configuration options such as automatic order assignment, existing customer matching, data merging, and bulk conversion of historical guest orders. Additionally, orders can be reassigned to customers even after they’ve been placed, directly from the Magento admin panel.

• Enable: Turn the Guest to Customer conversion module on or off.
• Enable on Frontend (Customer Dashboard): Allow customers to convert guest orders from their dashboard.
• Automatically Add Order to Customer: Automatically link an order to an existing customer if the email matches.
• Automatically Convert Guest To Customer: Automatically create a customer account when a guest order is placed.
• Assign Order Address To Customer: Save the order’s billing and shipping addresses to the customer profile.
• Customer Group: Choose the default group for newly created customers (e.g., General, Wholesale).
• Convert All Old Guests To Customer: Convert all past guest orders to customer accounts. Click again if the process times out.

Merge Customer Details

• Copy Customer Attributes to Order: Copy selected attributes from the customer profile to the order.
• Customer Group: Merge the customer’s group with the order.
• Customer Name: Copy the customer’s name to the order.
• Date Of Birth: Sync the customer’s date of birth with the order.
• Gender: Copy the customer’s gender information to the order.
• Tax VAT: (Optional) Copy the customer’s VAT number to the order.

How it Works (Attributes):

• When a guest order is converted, selected attributes (like name, group, and VAT) are automatically copied from the customer profile into the order.

• When a guest places an order, the module links it to an existing customer by email or creates a new account.
• The order appears in the customer’s account with copied addresses and details.
• Orders can also be converted manually from the admin panel or by the customer from their dashboard.
